I mean I am also curious to try a Leica or even own one but it's mostly due to curiosity of the hype. I saw plenty of comparison videos as well as pictures taken with the Leica and I don't think the price is close to being fair. The difference between any other more affordable camera and a Leica is not big enough to merit the huge price difference. You are mostly paying for the brand and the hype. Even here, if you did not say what camera you shot these with, no one would have known. We would have all assumed it's a Fuji. You could have literally done an M Night Shyamalan thing and just showed the pictures and then surprised everyone at the end showing these were all taken with a Leica.

It would be easier to stomach the obligatory and ponderous "analog experience/feels like shooting film" rationalizations if you weren't spending over 50% of the time shooting from the rear display screen. Between RUclips and Instagram it feels like photography is being buried under a landfill's worth of affectations, branding opportunities, meticulously curated knit caps, chore coats, silver rings, monetized presets aping past masters, and uninspired images and vacation snapshots from a narrow roster of trust fund baby destinations.

Can you share the exif of last images

The woman holding the sign that says イエス天国 不這地獄 is a street preacher, it sorta says “Jesus, heaven, if not you’ll crawl to hell” (a more literal translation than you’d be given, but I like the spicyness of it lol) and it’s a super evocative photo. I quite like that one. I of course had to translate the big yellow sign lol. But it drew me in, which is a good thing.

Once you scratch that itch it’s game over. I had the itch and man oh man. I got the m10 and rented the q2 a few times and I love love love it. I will add it to my line up one day.

Mannnn I picked up a Leica M-A last year and have been enjoying it soo much that I've been gassing for the M11-P as well. This doesn't help my case hah. Rangefinder experience really saved photography for me. They're so much fun.

Fuji does have a journey to Leica. Started out with an Xt-30, then X100V, ended up with Xt3, Xt5, Xpro1, Xpro2 and Xpro3, then a Q2, then a Q2M, Now the XT5, Xpro 1, 2 and 3 are all on the shelf, the Qs are sold, and an M11M and M11-P are in the bag. Love Leica for the process and inspiration. Fuji still wonderful and will always remain with me as well. Now my travel and intentional photography is Leica M and my casual, sport, nature or portrait is Fuji. Loving them both.

Welcome to the no way back. I’ve been with Fuji since the original X100, and then the X-Pro1, X-Pro2, and finally the X-Pro3. Leica has always fascinated me, both for the object itself, its history, and the tactile feel. I had never used a Leica in my life until a year ago. Since then, it has become an obsession, and I succumbed to buying a Leica M11 and three Leica lenses. As I said, there’s no turning back. People often compare Leica and Fuji, but they are two entirely different entities with one major common point: the pleasure of making photography

Take photo with leica and x100vi with same objects, and do blind test with ppl, i think you will sell Leica after 😂

I’ve had the Leica M10-R + Voigtlander 50mm f1.5 for close to 2 months. My only regret was not getting it sooner. Slowing down and enjoying the moment. The irony is it made me appreciate my X100VI for what it is and having fun with that camera as well. In a world where people debate which cameras are better, I’m fortunate to have a couple that compliments each other with different experiences.

Was the video color grading done with the same analog preset?

Video feels a bit boring but damn what killer shots. Not sure if m-leicas just battle my style of shooting but having hard time of STILL seeing them more than fancy p&s :D
